Four rooms, each with its own story

Every room at Cherry Hill is different — some look out over the pasture where our horses graze, others face the mountain ridge. All of them are furnished with pieces we've collected over the years, and all of them come with the same promise: you'll sleep better here than anywhere else.

The Barn Room

Our largest room, with exposed timber beams, a clawfoot tub, and a private porch overlooking the hay fields. The original hardwood floors still creak the way they did a hundred years ago.

The Garden Suite

A quiet room facing our flower gardens, where we grow lavender, sage, and morning glories. Waking up to bees in the lavender is either the best part of your trip or the most peculiar — there's no in between.

The Ridge Room

The room we recommend to first-time visitors. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the Blue Ridge Mountains in every direction. We keep a pair of binoculars on the windowsill for the deer that appear at dusk.

The Apple Cellar

Originally the root cellar for the farmhouse, this room has been converted into something wonderfully unexpected — cool stone walls, a four-poster bed, and a small courtyard just outside your door. It's the coziest room on the property, and our guests rarely want to leave.

The Experience

Slow mornings.
Real food. Real views.

At Cherry Hill, the day starts when you're ready for it — though we'll gently let you know when the coffee is poured and the eggs are warm. Our breakfast is a proper meal, not a plate of toast and jam: fresh eggs from our flock, sourdough from our starter, fruit from the trees on the property, and coffee strong enough to make you reconsider your relationship with urgency.

Farm-to-table breakfast

Every ingredient has a story. The eggs came from chickens that wandered our pasture. The honey is from hives we keep near the apple orchard.

Blue Ridge adventures

Hiking trails start at the end of our driveway. Shenandoah National Park is a short drive. We'll help you plan the day — or help you decide not to.

Evenings that linger

Rocking chairs on the porch. A fire in the stone fireplace. Wine from a local vineyard, poured because it's Friday and you're on vacation.

Our Farm

A working farm that happens to host guests

We're not a themed resort. We're a family who tends land, raises animals, and opened our home to travelers who want something real. The chickens, the horses, the garden — they're all part of the place. You're just invited to share it.

Heritage Horses

Three gentle horses graze our pastures. We offer guided trail rides for guests who want to see the property from a different angle.

Laying Hens

Our flock of heritage breed hens provides fresh eggs every morning. You can collect them yourself if you rise early enough.

Kitchen Garden

Tomatoes in July, squash in September, herbs year-round. Our garden feeds the breakfast table and the preserving jars on the shelf.

Family Run

Three generations live and work here. Your host is also the person who tends the roses, bakes the bread, and knows every trail in the area.

Buffalo Junction sits at the crossroads of some of Virginia's most beautiful country. The Blue Ridge Parkway runs nearby. Shenandoah National Park is within easy reach. Route 29 and Route 15 make it simple to find us — and simple to disappear once you arrive.
